Join our efforts to re-erect Cleveland's Huletts

In January of 2000, the four Hulett Unloaders on the Whiskey Island Ore Dock, having been in service from 1912 until they were decommissioned in 1992, were removed. Two were cut up for scrap, and twe were carefully disassembled and the components moved to the back of the Ore Dock. There they are stored today, awaiting re-assembly in a location where they can be appreciated by the publlic.

These Hulett can be re-erected. The gantrys are intact, except for the tailpieces which were cut off to make storage easier. All other major parts, such as the trolley and the walking beam, are intact as well.
